â€Å"Depression is a disturbance in mood, thought, and body characterized by varying degrees of sadness, disappointment, loneliness, hopelessness, self-doubt, and guilt†. Depression is considered normal to many life problems. Almost every individual experienced depression in the life. Some people experienced very much other very low but they do experience depression. Depression is considered abnormal only when it is out of control. Dejection and hopelessness are two main characteristics of depression. A person who is experiencing depression is unable to make decision they have a great problem in making decisions in life. Depression can last for months or years, it depends on the condition. The intense depression is â€Å"feeling blue† or â€Å"being in a bad mood† it is least intense type of depression it is brief in duration and has very low effect on our daily life activities Moderate depression last for a longer duration it also effect the daily life activities but not that much. But in severe depression the person feel hopeless, unable to relax and feelings of suicide seems the best option to the depressed person in the severe depres sion. When the person experience depression they show many symptoms of depression such as crying, have difficulty in finding pleasure in anything, loss of sexual desire, confusion on its peak he may experience physical complaints also such as fatigue, digestive problems etc. Depression can affect any person of any religion, culture, and race.
